NO SCHOOL TODAY!!!

Hi, Teacher:

I hope you haven't been sick because of the swine flu.

We have spent a lot of time at home and has been surprisingly lovable. My younger daughter has visited us as often as possible (she lives 5 blocks far home) as her husband is working out of town, so, you can imagine. In addition, their father has come home to check if anobody was sick. We have been gathering like some years ago. It looked like we had a party. It was a nice break.

Well, I hope you have had chance to practice your salsa and have taught Miss Blanca your best bachata dance. Have fun! By the way, did you have chance to see the movies? Because I have three more to lend you... I hope you like them.

Teacher, I don't wanna be a mosquito into your ear but many times I would like to ask anything to an english spoken person, I mean, someone who knows about teaching and I have no one to talk to... would you mind if I ask you through this space? Although I can check in eslabout, many times I keep on being confused. I feel that I need a personal explanation. Well, whatever you decide, I'll respect it. Just let me know, please.

As you may know, coming back classes will be tomorrow, so, if you haven't rest enough, you can do it now.

Well, Teacher, thanks for your time and your attention, I hope to see you tomorrow.

READY TO COMEBACK CLASSES?

Hi, Teacher!!

I hope you have enjoyed these holidays so much as we did.

I've just read your comment as my pc crashed twice and we had to install the software and to configured the hard disk. We supposed that the earlier data is installed in another partition of the disk because some of the information was saved. It's very strange!! I hope the actual anti-virus can help it.

Anyway, yes, my daughter told me about Blanca and you and your salsa classes ha ha ha I hope you have practiced salsa a lot while you were on vacation cause the next subject for you is teaching us how to dance salsa... hahaha

About my serendipity, yes, it was very hard. It was a life lesson. I think it was one of the causes I became a preventive person. So preventive, that when I got divorced, I wanted to buy a gun to protect my daughters. Fortunately, my older brother made me change my mind and I bought a baseball bat. Through the years, God changed my mind and I don't wanna hurt nobody anymore. Even better, I would like to do my best on helping people and I try day after day.

I'm eager to comeback classes. To be honest, I haven't spent a lot of time in my English but I have visited eslabout at least an hour a day. I've found a place of grammas quizzes. It's great!!! I'm gonna tell you the address: http://esl.about.com/library/quizz/blgrammarquiz.htm what do you think if you share this place with the rest of class?

Well, I hope you have taken a good break and have had nice vacations.

Be well, Teacher.

MY INVALUABLE SERENDIPITY

WITH MY OWN CORRECTIONS.

I can remember that monday morning as well as it was today. It was a sunny day and the weather was a little chilly. We had gone to visit grandma for a family meeting and there were some children playing in the backyard.

My older daughter's age was 14 months and she had been walking around grandma and me while we were cooking.

Suddenly, we heard a scream and my nephew, 5 years, started crying aloud. My sister in law ran toward and rised him to get calm and washed his injury so I ran to the bathroom looking for a towel but I got in shock when I found my baby up-side down into a water container; her legs were shaking slowly, so I rised her and tried hardly she could breathe. I could even hear that her ducts were full of water.

Then, I took her by an arm and beat on the leg; I thought: if she starts crying, she will be abe to breathe, but she didn't. Eventually, I remembered (like a lightning) that she was always afraid to be thrown, I mean, without support in legs. I threw her, and finally, she could breathe and started crying.

Grandma had been watching us and was crying and running without knowing what to do.
After my baby started crying, grandma told me: _ 'give me the baby and drink a glass of water' but I couldn't listen 'cause I felt unconscious.

Twenty three years later, I keep a thankful feeling to God for being there in that moment.

This is the most important serendipity in my life: I was looking for a towel for someone else and found my daughter in a critical situation, thanks God, saving her life.

I hope it can be useful for homework.

Have a nice night and take care.

ps1: I agree with you about the bishop's suggestion. hahaha thanks.
ps2: I think people do know what love means but don't wanna practice it.
ps3: I wonder if you have time enough to eat and sleep 'cause you have so many pupils and homeworks to check.
